Like most sustainable agriculture systems, organic farming calls for the production of new data from experiments that will provide solutions to everyday problems in farming practices.
Science is established through practice, which in turn is improved and developed through science. The need to link scientific data with farms is urgent and imperative.
There are areas in organic farming that need improving; areas that raise production costs and cause serious problems to the plant and/or animal capital.
In our country, there are scientific research foundations that in many instances have been able to provide significant data on post-harvest preservation, disease control, etc., which can also find applications to organic farming.
Farm Bioma participates in research programmes and postgraduate or doctoral practical training of university students with organic propagation material of aromatic, medicinal, and vegetable plants.
